Alutrade set to showcase aluminium recycling expertise at two trade shows
We’re gearing up to showcase our industry-leading aluminium recycling services at two major industry events this year.
Ed George, our commercial manager, Mike George, our commercial director, Lindsay Johnson-Smith, our accounts manager, and Emily Harris from our logistics and accounts team, will be attending the FIT Show from May 23 to 25.
Third FIT Show visit
This year’s appearance at the three-day event at The NEC in Birmingham comes off the back of Alutrade successfully featuring at the two previous years’ FIT Shows.
“We’re really looking forward to returning for the third time. A significant proportion of our aluminium recycling comes from the fenestration industry, and with the FIT Show being the UK’s largest trade show for the sector, it makes sense for us to have a presence at the event once again,” explains Ed.
The team will be promoting our process for recycling thermally-broken extrusion scrap, which we have been perfecting for several years. It enables us to separate the thermal barrier from extrusions to produce a 95 to 97% clean aluminium product. What’s more, it’s so effective, we can sort up to six tonnes an hour.
Ed explains: “We’re passionate about enabling the fenestration industry to recycle aluminium as sustainably as possible. Thanks to our thermally broken extrusion expertise, we are making sure every inch of aluminium scrap that can be recycled is recycled and, more importantly, aluminium is retained, recycled and reused in the UK.”
GGF partnership
Our third FIT Show Appearance comes after we were announced as being The Glass and Glazing Federation’s aluminium recycling partner of choice. The partnership enables GGF members, who are FENSA-approved installers or BFRC manufacturers, to access free aluminium recycling services. First UK Metals Expo appearance
Later in the year, the team will be out in force again at The NEC for the UK Metals Expo, which is taking place on September 13 and 14.
“It’s the only event that brings the entire metal supply chain together, which is essentially our world, and therefore an extremely valuable opportunity for us to reinforce our presence and capabilities,” explains Ed.
“It’s the first time we are exhibiting at the event and we’re really looking forward to showcasing our expertise, as well as lining up alongside some of the biggest and most established names within our sector.
“We’re extremely proud to be the largest and most established independent aluminium recycling company and extrusion specialist in the UK and, from a best practice perspective, are keen to share our industry-leading insight and processes with others.”
We will be promoting all of our services at the expo, which includes bailing, cutting and toll waste, as well as our transportation services, which involve providing 24-hour UK collection.
